SUPREME COURT, SYDNEY. Law Courts Building - 184 Phillip Street, Sydney.

WHERE ARE THE CLASSES HELD?

In the Jury Assembly Room: level 6 - which is at the northern end and Macquarie Street side of the building.

WHEN ARE THE CLASSES HELD?
Every Tuesday 1pm - 2pm (starting 2nd February 2010). Your teacher will usually be Jolie Brook.

All classes are 1 hour duration, and are OPEN style classes - suitable for most people, regardless of their yoga experience.

DO I NEED TO REGISTER TO ATTEND CLASSES?
No - the classes are open to everyone - please just show up.

WHAT IS THE COST?
The classes are employer-funded, so are entirely FREE !!

DO I HAVE ACCESS TO YOGA SPACE ON LEVEL 6?
Yes. Law Court staff have access to this area. Please bring your security pass key to class with you.

WHAT DO I WEAR / BRING / NEED?
Comfortable, non-restrictive LAYERED clothing and bare feet. (Corporate attire doesn’t work). If you feel the cold, we suggest bringing something warm to start and finish class with.
Your YOGA practise is more effective on a yoga mat – a towel isn’t suitable beyond your first couple of classes, nor are Pilates and camping-style mats. Mostly for hygiene purposes we strongly recommend students work on their OWN mats. You can buy yoga mats out in the shops for anything up to $90, or you can purchase one from YOGABOWL (delivered to your next class) for $35.There is also some other useful, reasonably priced yoga equipment available here.

IS THERE SOMEWHERE I CAN GET CHANGED?
Yes. There are bathrooms on level 6 you can change in.

WHAT ABOUT EATING AROUND YOGA CLASS?
Typically what happens in yoga and what happens when food is digesting, isn't a happy match. That's why we recommend you leave at least 90 mins between your last (full) meal and your yoga class. It's OK to have a SMALL snack during that hour before class, but we suggest you eat your meal after class.
